What is Buff and Recoat?
Buff and recoat is a maintenance service for hardwood floors with surface wear, dullness, or light scratches when the existing finish is still suitable for recoating. The process lightly abrades the current finish so a new finish coat can bond properly.
It does not remove deep scratches, stains, discoloration, water damage, or problems beneath the finish. Buff and recoat refreshes the protective layer on your floor without the more extensive work of full refinishing.
Buff & Recoat May Be Appropriate When:

The Process
The buff and recoat process typically involves:

- Buffing: The existing finish is lightly abraded to create a surface the new coat can bond to.
- Recoating: A new coat of finish is applied to protect the floor.

Can buff and recoat fix scratches?
